Introducing new CTG Standards, simple to setup and score but not easy to pass...
I like to hold a very "Do-able" but Challenging Standard for my Students and Classes, these drills became enjoyed enough in my training and classes that I compiled them into this.
All skills tested cover most everything you will see in a USPSA Classifier or any Stand and Shoot scenario. I use 2 USPSA Targest at 7yds (I refer to as the "CTG Lab" which I talk about in some previous Podcasts).
This is the Subconscious, "Hard Skill" side of things...the Stage Stuff and Mental I have a different set of drills for. This doesnt have movement and is a simple setup by design, I want it to be accessible to everyone at every range. Indoors, Outdoors, Dryfire, wherever.
Setup: "CTG Lab" - 2 USPSA Targets spaced 1" apart, ALL Starting/Shooting Positions behind 7yd Stick.
String 1- X Drill - 11HF to Pass
Loaded, Wrists Below Belt, upon beep fire 2 Shots at Lower A-Zone of T1, Upper A-Zone of T2, Upper A-Zone of T1, Lower A-Zone T2.
Sting 2- Turn and Draw Ladder (1-2-3-2-1)- 12HF to Pass
Loaded, Wrists Above Shoulders, Facing directly UPRANGE, upon beep fire 1 shot to T1, 2 shots to T2, 3 shots to T1, 2 shots to T2, and 1 Shot to T1.
String 3 - All the Manipulations - 6 HF to Pass
UNLOADED start, Wrists below belt, upon beep Load and fire 2 shots at T1, 2 shots at T2, Mandatory reload, 2 shots T2 Strong Hand Only, 2 Shots T1 Weak Hand Only. If you want to shoot them Backwards/Mirror Image for lefties or "just because", be my guest. (ie Lefties turn and draw to T2 to start, or SHO on T1, etc) All 3 Strings must be passed Back-To-Back in order to PASS
